It all started with a phone call from a former college roommate.

“I’ve joined a hemp oil extraction startup in Denver. What do you think about helping us get our production up and running?”

Jon, our founder and president, was ambitious (i.e. crazy) enough to say yes. It turns out that his experience with the engineering and construction of wind and solar plants for GE translated to success in creating superior CBD oil. Through a mix of attention to detail, love of experimentation, and an obsession with precise and repeatable processes, the groundwork for Healux distilled hemp oil was born.

Fast forward to late 2019. Having left the startup, armed with his extensive knowledge of the end-to-end production process, Jon moved back to Pittsburgh to build his own company.

Today, things look different. We have a fiercely loyal customer base, an expanding product line, and a brilliant tight-nit team of engineers, PHDs, and MBAs. Despite our continued growth, our approach is still the same: Never stop learning and improving.
