We are proud members of the Maine cannabis community and recognize that we all benefit from the free-thinkers, back-to-the-landers, innovators, cultivators, breeders, and passionate activists and supporters who came before us.
Maine’s cannabis community has a long history, first becoming legal when Maine decriminalized possession in 1976. But this was far from the start. Pioneers in the movement had long been working in the hills, woods, and barns, building the foundation that generations later has resulted in broad legalization and a diverse market of the world’s finest cannabis offerings. Although we’ve heard it said that “Maine is the Humboldt County of the East” we respectfully contend that Humboldt County is the Maine of the West.
